Summer is Slipping Away...

 I took some pictures of things I will miss about Summer.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I'm hungry for some pizza!

 So I've been craving "grilled" pizza for a while now!  I decided to experiment  today to make one ( well, half of one ) inside on my grill pan.  

  Here's what I did.....

1. I cut my pre made store bought pizza crust in half.  I froze the other half for the next time I'm hungry for pizza, which is sure to be soon ;-). 

2. I thawed out one boneless & skinless chicken breasts in my microwave. Then I salt & peppered it & cooked it in my small non stick sauté pan till done & removed it to rest an a plate with paper towels. That helps it or over cook & remain juicy.

BTW skip ahead several steps, it's in the oven & is making my mouth water with its heavenly smells as I type this.

3. I pre hear my non stick grill pan on the stove top on medium high heat for a few minutes.  Meanwhile I spray both sides of my crust with EVOO.  Then grill it on my grill pan 2-3 minutes per side until I see grill marks. Then I removed my pan from heat.

4.  Then I brushed Alfredo sauce on the crust & topped it with Italian mix shredded cheese, my chicken, sliced red & yellow peppers, red onions, & black olives.  

5.  I put the pizza in the grill pan into the oven preheated to 350 for 10 minutes.

A New Deck!

  I needed a new deck.  Mine was old, rotting, & sinking.  Not good.  So, I hired a friend of ours to put a new deck on the back of my house since my handy husband is working/living in Texas ( 😭 )

My new suit!

  I had my 37th birthday last Sunday.  My dad sent me some cash.  I decided to use it to buy a new swim suit.  I tried on 4 & bought the FIRST one I tried on!  I know, crazy, right?  It didn't even feel like abuse.  Swim suit shopping can be hard because body image is hard.  We are hard on ourselves.  I love my new suit!  I am working on loving me in it. I have decided to feel pretty in it😊.  Would you like to see a picture?  Okay!

I found a picture of a chair I want "real bad" on Pinterest. I clicked on it & it took me to a Tumbler account. I don't know where to find this chair..... But I want it! I want it real real real bad!

Easter decorations

Hi! Happy Saturday! I thought I would share my Easter decorations with you today! I just have a few things here & there. Have a great weekend! Oh & if you have some warm & sunny weather please send it my way. We're under a winter storm warning until Monday. Blah!

Paint

Today I paint. I do not like to paint. I have been perfecting my procrastinating skills for a while now over this painting job. I just need to finish painting some doors & trim that we put up to update our house. It was built in 1973 & had the original ( not nice or fancy, like if it was a 100 year old home) trim & doors. I also need to touch up some spots on the walls.
It is cold & rainy today, PERFECT weather for an indoor project, right? Well that's what I'm telling myself to sike myself up ;-). I will post some before & after photos in a future post. Happy Monday!

Nigel

Meet our boy cat Nigel. He is a sweet, loving, cuddly, mischievous, playful, funny boy! We really enjoy him. I'm thankful for my pets. I'll introduce the others later. They keep me company during the day while K1 & K2 are at school.
I get really lonely right now. It's quite an adjustment going from having your husband laid off for almost 2 years and always home with you to now living 10 hours apart. I'm sure I'll get used to it but its pretty hard right now.
This morning I have a ladies bible study that meets at my church. I'm glad I will get to socialize some today. I need it!

Changes

Hi! I'm Jamie. Mom of 3 daughters & wife of T-man, my high school sweet heart. There have been some major changes in my life lately & I have decided to blog for fun & an outlet.
My husband just recently moved to Texas for a construction job after being laid off for 22 months. My oldest daughter turned 18 & isn't living at home anymore. My family of 5 shrunk to 3 in a weeks time. I ate enough stuffed pasta shells tonight for 3 people. I shouldn't do that anymore. I'll need to adjust the amount of food I cook...
I really love to read & look at pictures on other people's blogs. I like the pictures the most though. So I will share some pictures of my newly remodeled kitchen. There is a story about the remodel to come...
