It's National Soup Day! ( or at least that's what Paula Dean said on Facebook )

In honor of it being "National Soup Day" I made taco soup for dinner & thought I'd share the recipe I used.  My mom gave it to me.
  Taco Soup

Ingredients
1 to 2 pounds of hamburger or ground turkey
1 large onion ( diced/chopped )
2 cans of diced tomatoes-16 oz. each
1 can of pinto beans
1 can of southwest style pinto beans
1 can of corn
1 package of dry ranch dressing mix
1 package of dry taco seasoning mix
  Directions
Brown your meat & onion in a large pot, drain meat if needed, then add dry mixes & all canned goods, liquids included.  Simmer for 20 minutes.  I serve mine with shredded cheese & sour cream.  YUM!
 * for dicing my onion I used a manual food processor.
Email me if you want more information about where & how to get one like mine at tj3kmiller@gmail.com
Here's a little trick I do that I want to share with you.  I'm all for anything that makes my life a little easier, organized, or saves me time/steps.  If I have a recipe I'm cooking from I use a magnet & put it on my hood vent above my stove top.  You can too if yours is metal!

I hope you're all staying safe & warm!  It's been snowing here since 1pm & it's still coming down.  We're due for 6 to 10 inches.
  God bless you!  ❤ Jamie
